How design skills become strategy skills
Millions of designers already create and influence strategy. What do these design strategists bring to the strategy table?
Design strategy work is as vague and difficult to define as the problem spaces it thrives in. How do these designers tackle organizational and systemic challenges with their design skills? The toolbox of the design strategist is unique but not well documented.
See what it looks like when the designer's sphere of influence expands to strategy and systems...not just screens and brands.
4 Common Contexts of Design Strategy
In this free masterclass, we cover 4 common contexts of design strategy.
Design (supporting) strategy
designers helping with strategy is one of the most common ways designers can get into strategy. This talk covers some methods and skills needed to get involved in strategy projects or teams.
Design (team) strategy
Design teams need strategies just like everyone else. What does a strategy do for a design team, and which designers should create them?
Design (of) strategy
The design process of a strategy is not well documented, but the process should look familiar to UX, service, and product designers. This class will provide a high-level overview of designing a strategy.
Design (as) strategy
What happens when design is so integrated into the business strategy that you can’t tell the difference? This is the aim of many design maturity frameworks, and it’s a common goal for design strategy that this class examines.
