Terms & Conditions

from www.thefountaininstitute.com/terms-conditions, terms accepted during checkout for paid events and courses.

These Fountain Institute Program Terms of Use govern participation in paid events and courses from The Fountain Institute and how we process students’ and subscribers' personal data.

This document serves as the client contract with the Fountain Institute for paid events and courses

14-Day Refund Policy

We all know that life happens and plans change. That is why we have a postponement policy. However, if you wish to cancel your participation entirely, we have a 14-day refund policy:

  • If you decide to cancel your learning experience within 14 days of your purchase, you will get a full refund.

  • If you decide to cancel your course after 14 days from your purchase, refunds will NOT be granted.

  • If you decide to cancel your course after the course dates, refunds will NOT be granted.

Email hello@thefountaininstitute.com if you want a refund. The purchase time is calculated from the moment that your payment goes through in our system, and the refund request time is calculated from the moment we receive your email.

Payment Methods

We accept payments by credit card and bank transfer (by request only).

If you are reimbursed for a Fountain Institute course by your company’s education budget, we ask that you pay for it before the course starts, then have your employer reimburse you afterward. You must have your employer transfer the money directly before your course begins.

Split Payments

If you want to pay the tuition fee in installments, email hello@thefountaininstitute.com

  • The first installment of half the tuition fee is due before the Course Start Date

  • The second installment of the other half of the admission fee is due 31 days after the first payment

Postponement Policy

You can postpone participation until 14 days before the Fountain Institute course starts. And you can postpone your participation only once - to the next upcoming admission.

Since each Fountain Institute course has limited places, your place is reserved just for you. We do not overbook cohorts. Unfortunately, we do not offer postponements less than 14 days before the start or during the Fountain Institute course. You will receive access to all student materials if you cannot join the cohort. Still, you will not be a part of the alumni community or receive a completion certificate.

Expulsion Policy

Since the Fountain Institute course is based on intimate cohorts, each student has certain obligations. When you join the Fountain Institute course, you commit yourself to contributing to the culture of submitting your work and feedback in due time.

This ensures that all students move together through the Fountain Institute course and that you can participate in student activities and get the most out of the learning experience.

All your assignments and feedback must be submitted before the final deadline (the last class of the course) for successful completion.

If you miss the project deadlines, you will lose access to the alumni community and the certificate of completion. However, you can still access all course materials (without updates) to continue studying individually.

Dispute Resolution

We may not always agree on all points, and we firmly believe that the ability to dialog about disagreements is a skill that is very close to the core of the Fountain Institute course. If we both believe we cannot resolve a dispute through dialog, you agree that the German courts alone can resolve disputes.

Sharing Policy

During the Fountain Institute course, you will work on our prepared content, but the student determines the course project. As a student, you are not required to discuss your work, disclose client details, or anything else that might be confidential. You will have to share your homework with instructors for feedback, but you can do so without the rest of the class seeing it (through a locked Miro board or by emailing your submission). We will encourage you to share your work challenges with us during class conversations, but if you are working with a non-disclosure agreement, use your best judgment when sharing things involving your work. If you are worried about sharing sensitive work material, choose a course project based on your personal or freelance aspirations.
