About Panelists

Joy Mwihia
Joy has been involved in various capacities as a designer throughout her working life. She started out as a building architect working with several multinationals including HP, SAAB, UNHCR among others. Her interest in the intersection between design and tech lead her to seek a change in careers more towards IT. She is currently a product manager at plista GmbH, a digital advertising solutions company based in Berlin. Prior to this, Joy completed an International MBA, then trained and practiced as a UX designer which offered a great segue into product management.

Mark Tan
Mark has built consumer products, communities and has been a PM for over ten years. He is currently the Director of Product and Community at Wyze, a startup that offers affordable smart home products, where community efforts led to more than 100k active paying members in three years. Before this, Mark led product and community growth at Amazon & Twitch gaming communities. He's also an active fellow at On Deck, Reforge, Alumni Ventures Group, and Product School and has led teams of Product Managers, UX Researchers, and Community Managers.
