Adding UX Research to a UI Design Portfolio Project

In our UX Research Course, students plan, organize, conduct, and synthesize research. This process aims to turn their insights and findings into a goal-focused presentation for their company. They work on real-life leverage points in their company instead of hypothetical prompts. Many of the course participants make portfolio pieces from their course projects, and Saran's is an excellent example.

Fountain Institute alumnus Saran Battsengel did a fantastic job at synthesizing the work she did in the course project into a portfolio piece. Take a look at her research report in her portfolio:

Saran is a UX/UI Designer at GROW MY TREE, a Berlin-based start-up that supports sustainability through planting trees and stop CO2-related climate changes. In the portfolio piece, Saran's research is on the collaboration between designers and developers.
